Overview

This project involved taking content produced y a small company, and creating a revised, single-sourced proof-of-concept for the a client, Content Rules. The deliverables included two PDFs and an HTML5 site. The goal was to develop a single-source solution that enabled the content’s original creator, Tech Company, to:

  • update content across all related publications,
  • produce personalized print content for those customers who want it,
  • make content searchable online,
  • and create consistency for those who own different parts of the related content

This project was completed in collaboration with two other students, making a team of three. Using DITA principles, we restructured and unified the content within the database. We also implemented SEO tactics, adding keywords for internal searches, and applied metadata for each topic.

Responsibilities were evenly distributed among the team. My teammates managed the table of contents for the target audience, while I was responsible for writing a persuasive cover letter (see Related files).

To ensure seamless collaboration, we utilized Google Sheets and Docs for file sharing and editing. Weekly team meetings were conducted via a dedicated Slack channel, with regular communication to keep each other accountable and aligned.
